At Unitrust, we believe in making a positive impact on the communities we serve. This year, our team has focussed on raising funds for Refuge, the UK’s largest specialist domestic abuse organisation. Together, the team raised an incredible £7,451 for this important charity.
Domestic abuse is an issue that affects countless lives. Statistics reveal that 1 in 4 women will experience some form of domestic abuse in their lifetime, and, tragically, one woman every five days is murdered by a current or former abusive partner in England and Wales.
Refuge provides essential support to survivors, offering them a safe space and the tools they need to overcome the physical, emotional, financial, and logistical challenges posed by abuse. Each day, their services empower thousands of people to rebuild their lives free from fear.
