Unitrust on track to deliver Safe Haven's Initiative

This year, we have continued our commitment to Prevent Violence Against Women and Girls by proactively spearheading the Safe Haven initiative in partnership with our London based clients.

Since January, we are proud to have launched five Safe Havens and we have more in the pipeline.  This puts us firmly on track to hit our target of launching 20 Safe Havens during 2024.

Scott Gough, Managing Director of Unitrust said "Safe Haven's are an excellent way to support making women feel safe when they are out and about in central London. They are of course open to anyone who has a need. We are firmly committed to working in partnership with our clients and other organisations to help support this initiative and our target of opening 20 Safe Haven's within our client's premises this year is on track. I am very proud of the team for working so hard to champion and implement this important initiative."

The Safe Haven scheme has been developed by the Safer Business Network(external link) who support businesses across the UK to tackle crime, violence, and antisocial behaviour. The scheme encourages businesses and organisations who work with the public to become registered as a ‘Safe Haven’ and provide practical support to members of the public who are in vulnerable and unsafe situations and require support and shelter.
